And that’s just ipods, What about the millions of other MP3 players and PMP’s.
What are a lot of the owners of these players looking for?
Lots look for music however many search out audio books and articles they can listen to on the way to work, traveling in their car or just sitting home relaxing.
Over the last few months I have been creating audio books and articles on various topics with fantastic results by adding into the audio a couple of short adds to my other products.
Some of the recordings I made myself from my own ebooks and others I have used PLR books and articles to create the audios.
The problem is always how to do it so it sounds professional and flipping between a recorder and a word file means that it is hard to control your speaking rate.
I had a special Teleprompter built that allows you to scroll the text and also record at the same time allowing the user to make professional sounding audio books and articles on their PC. (Not for Mac)

Camtasia Video and Photoshop
With the proliferation of web videos, it would appear that many have no shame producing and distributing crappy videos. While if this is a video of your dog Charlie catching a frisbee while jumping off the dock at the lake, that is one thing.
But if this video is a business video that is promoting, demonstrating, or giving a tutorial on how to use your product, that is entirely a different matter. From the viewers prospective if you don’t care about using a crappy demonstration video why would your attitude when you created your product or service be any different. If you as a business are providing a quality product or service then tell the world about it in with videos…but do it right! By just implementing a few production details, you too can create high quality web videos.

There is a man from Wisconsin, a former Microsoft Techie, who has begun a crusade to rid the web of crappy videos. Lon Naylor shows you (with videos of course) exactly what you need to do in order to create Camtasia videos that will make your business product or service shine. In a step by step system he calls “Ace the Audio”, he shows you the techniques that can turn a bumbling and stumbling video narration into something that sounds like it was recorded at a production studio. In this twelve part module, Lon breaks it down into simple lessons, skillfully demonstrated in video form, exactly how to produce a studio quality narration for your videos. Did I mention for a limited time, Lon is giving you access to this video completely free! – Click Here for Details
In the members area of his site, Lon takes you through a total of nine different modules each done in the same format as “Ace the Audio”. Starting with a fantastic video overview tutorial, Lon takes you step by step with modules like Video Strategies, Creating Killer Screencast Videos, Planning and Preparing Your Video, Recording Your Videos, Editing Your Videos, as well as a Module on Video Production.
Before you put another crappy video up you owe it to your business to discover how with a few simple techniques you can make your videos look like high quality video productions. Your business’s image is at stake. Learn how simple it is to project a video image that matches the high quality of your business’s products and services.

10 Tips For Public Speaking Toastmasters
Feeling some nervousness before giving a speech is natural and healthy. It shows you care about doing well. But, too much nervousness can be detrimental.
Using tools like the MSI Personal Teleprompter is a great way to keep you on track and also make sure your presentation is professional. The beauty is you can also record it while you are giving the talk and post it later on the Internet for futher reference.
Here’s how you can control your nervousness and make effective, memorable presentations:
* Know the room. Be familiar with the place in which you will speak. Arrive early, walk around the speaking area and practice using the microphone and any visual aids.
* Know the audience. Greet some of the audience as they arrive. It’s easier to speak to a group of friends than to a group of strangers.
* Know your material. If you’re not familiar with your material or are uncomfortable with it, your nervousness will increase. Practice your speech and revise it if necessary.
* Relax. Ease tension by doing exercises.
* Visualize yourself giving your speech. Imagine yourself speaking, your voice loud, clear, and assured. When you visualize yourself as successful, you will be successful.
* Realize that people want you to succeed. Audiences want you to be interesting, stimulating, informative, and entertaining. They don’t want you to fail.
* Don’t apologize. If you mention your nervousness or apologize for any problems you think you have with your speech, you may be calling the audience’s attention to something they hadn’t noticed. Keep silent.
* Concentrate on the message — not the medium. Focus your attention away from your own anxieties, and outwardly toward your message and your audience. Your nervousness will dissipate.
* Turn nervousness into positive energy. Harness your nervous energy and transform it into vitality and enthusiasm
* Gain experience. Experience builds confidence, which is the key to effective speaking.
Using msiprompt to keep you on track can be a great tool. Just enter the points of your talk and then scroll through them to keep you on target.
Your audience will appreciate you keeping to the topic and it adds some credability when they see you using a tool.
So far as I understand your sales copy, the “main” selling point is that this is 5 to 10 times LESS than cost of comparable existing software. That is true, but I think you need to demonstrate or explain all of the various ways this program can be of great use.
For example, i have already discovered it is a great way to create an “outline” and keep it up in front of me during phone interviews, to make sure I stay on track and do not miss any key points I want to make. Also, you could use it to create scripts for clients, record them, and easily create info products for your clients — either for a set fee, or royalty basis. We got tremendous reaction from several clients who said they would love to do their own “info product” or course, if all they had to do was sit there and read a script, or speak from an outline.

Preparing to record your audio
The first audio we will look at recording is a talking file. We will then look at recording or adding a music file.
Preparation
In making recordings, the goal is always to get a clear, undistorted speech signal with as little noise as possible.
Noise that will detract from or ruin signal quality for acoustic analysis can include:
* Any kind of environmental noise
* Speaker movement, especially if movement impacts the microphone or an object close to the microphone
* Voice overlap between speakers
* Noise from the computer system during transfer to computer
The best way to minimize environmental noise is to record in a sound-proofed or sound-treated room. To reduce the effects of noise in an ordinary room:
* Choose a quiet location
* Cover large reverberant surfaces with blankets or cloths
* Unplug electrical appliances
* Close doors and windows
* Turn off lights and fans or air conditioning
* Remove anything that ticks, buzzes, bangs, rattles, squeaks, hisses, or otherwise makes itself heard
* Always make a one minute black recording to see if there are any noises you have missed.
* Make sure you log off any software application like chat programs etc. There is nothing worse than almost getting to the end of your recording and your mail or chat program pipes in with a ding or what ever.
When recording speech form texts it is usually possible to satisfy all, or most of the above conditions. However, to record speech in “natural” situations, speakers often must be allowed to move around and interact with other people, with objects, or with their surroundings. This makes it substantially more difficult to get optimal recording quality.

This tutorial will help you produce all types of sound files. The first thing you will need is a recording program. Audacity is cross-platform – it runs on Windows (98 through XP), Mac OS 9, Mac OS X, and many Unix platforms, including Linux. Audacity is a free audio editor. You can record sounds, play sounds, import and export WAV, AIFF, and MP3 files, and more.
Use it to edit your sounds using Cut, Copy and Paste (with unlimited Undo), mix tracks together, or apply effects to your recordings. It also has a built-in amplitude envelope editor, a customizable spectrogram mode and a frequency analysis window for audio analysis applications. Built-in effects include Bass Boost, Wahwah, and Noise Removal, and it also supports VST plug-in effects.
- Audacity is free and the source code is available under the GNU General Public License.
. - No limits on the number of tracks or the length of any track, except the size of your hard disk. .
- Import almost anything: WAV, AIFF, Next/AU, IRCAM, MP3, and MIDI files are supported natively, but Audacity will also open just about any uncompressed sound file and automatically deduce the format (using the Import Raw Data… feature).
. - Audacity not only includes many high-quality effects built-in, but also lets you use plug-in effects in the industry-standard VST format. There are dozens of free, shareware, and commercial VST plug-ins online that do everything from Reverb to Noise Reduction.
- Audacity acts like a non-destructive editor , providing multiple levels of undo, but it also writes changes made to the audio to disk, eliminating the need for complicated real-time processing. .
- Label tracks allow you to annotate waveforms (for example, transcribing speech) and later export the waveforms to a text file. .
- Powerful spectral features allow you to view waveforms as spectrograms or plot the power spectrum of any region of audio, and even export this data to a spreadsheet.

How Can I Record Myself? The first thing you need is a microphone or some kind of input device. Most multimedia computers come with a microphone, but you can also pick one up from any computer or music store. The microphone can be plugged in directly to the sound card in your computer. Most sound cards use a 1/8" Walkman-type headphone jack, so make sure your microphone is compatible with this. What are the steps of recording? Here is a quick step-by-step guide to recording yourself:
- Before you start you recording write down what you want to say. When you are recording speak slowly and concisely.
- Plug your microphone into the mic input in your sound card
- Open up your audio recorder/editor and put it into record mode
- Check the input levels to make sure the signal is loud enough, but not too loud.
- Hit "record" and start speaking
- When youre finished, hit "stop"
- Depending on the software you use save it as .wav or .mp3 file
- If your audio application supports editing, you can remove any unwanted sections
Once you have finished and if your software did not allow you to save as a mp3 or wav, you can use an MP3 encoder to convert your sound file to MP3 format. WAV and AIFF files run about 10MB per 1 minute of CD-quality audio, and converting to MP3 can reduce this by a factor of 12. For some background about MP3, check out our MP3 tutorial. What are the steps of converting my sound file to MP3 format? Heres the remaining steps to convert your audio file to MP3 format:
- Open your MP3 encoding application
- Choose the "Convert" function
- Choose the WAV of AIFF file you want to convert to MP3
- Choose the sampling rate and bit depth of the MP3. This is usually 44.1 kHZ and 128 bits, and will result in compression by a factor of 12.
- When you are finished converting, add a title and other background info to the MP3 track using the track editor.
